Our reusable food wraps decrease overall household waste by replacing the need of plastic bags, containers and plastic wrap; while possessing preservative properties to help food last longer, resulting in reduced food waste.
REGULAR STRENGTH - Pure Beeswax
EXTRA STRENGTH - Beeswax, Pine Rosin (food-grade) & Jojoba Oil
Beeswax is antimicrobial and has natural preservative qualities which makes it excellent for wrapping foods.
More importantly; our BEE CLING Reusable Food Wraps are food-safe and will not transfer any toxic chemicals into your food like plastic wraps do.
All of our beeswax is locally sourced using a reputable and ethical bee farm, sourced in Glenburnie, Ontario, Canada.
USE THEM TO:
- Wrap sandwiches and snacks for school lunches
- Wrap the ends of cut fruits and vegetables to save them for later
- Keep cheese fresh
- Extend the life of breads, muffins and cookies
- Cover bowls and containers
- Pack for a picnic or road trip
- Not intended for use with raw meats, poultry or fish due to possible bacteria and cross-contamination.
- DO NOT use for hot foods or expose wraps to direct heat (this will cause the beeswax coating to melt and become ineffective)
- Avoid use with lemons, grapefruit and pineapple as they have enzymes which can damage food wraps.
- Use the warmth of your hands to shape the food wrap into whatever shape you wish
- Can be placed in the fridge or freezer (best if used for short-term uses)
- Wash using cold water and a gentle dish soap.
- Life expectancy is approximately 1 year depending on the amount usage. At the end of it's life expectancy, you're able to have the cloth re-waxed or cut it into small pieces and toss it in your compost bin!
